Our People

It's the people of Palliser Estate that allow us to create award winning wines, lead a sustainable approach to viticulture, and have tales to tell about it all.

Blair Savage

Assistant Viticulturist

Blair Savage

Blair is another refugee from the bright lights of Wellington. He came over the hill to prune some vines, found he enjoyed it, and went on to train as a viticulturalist at EIT.

He joined Palliser in 2003.

Blair enjoys the outdoors which is a fortunate thing because that’s where the wind machines are when there’s a frost.

In his spare time he cycles with his family, and, when he gets the chance, heads into the bush to go hunting. He seeks deer. He also seeks a frost-free season. So far the deer are easier to find.
