The maritime climate of Martinborough coupled with thoughtful viticultural practices delivers ripe intensely flavoured Sauvignon Blanc.
Very pale straw colour with youthful, pale green hues
This has a full nose with voluminous aromas of pungent passionfruit, gooseberries and limes, lifted with some fermentation esters.
Dry to taste, the flavours of passionfruit, tropical fruits and English gooseberries are a little restrained and tight in expression. The acidity is bright and fresh, and the palate has a slightly drying texture which leads to a dry, minerally finish of moderate length
Made from fruit drawn from a number of own and contracted vineyards this wine show the flavours and intensity that can be derived from thoughtful viticultural practices in New Zealand’s maritime climate.
This delicious and succulent wine is great drinking now with fresh seafood salads, vegetables and creamy cheeses over the next 2-3 years.
