Art at the cellar door cont.
Martinborough-based glass artists Jim Dennison and Leanne Williams created our stunning glass chandelier to make a super stunning finishing touch to our cellar door. Their work is showcased all over the world including the Ebeltoft Museum in Denmark, the Museum of Glass in the United States and here at home at Te Papa Tongarewa. We think it looks fantastic so come check it out (and our wines of course) when you next visit us at Palliser
On the back of this hotter than normal weather we are expecting to start the main harvest around 2 weeks early on the 20th March. Note growing degree days (GDD) which is a measure of heat accumulation is a whopping 202 above the long term average. With intermittent rain at ideal times during the season has meant that the vines are in good health with good canopy growth and uniform bunch size. So with dry conditions from here on in it is all pointing to be a vintage to remember for the right reasons!
Our Methode Rosé is on it’s way!
Our Rosé and Methode Traditionelle have been extremely popular over the summer months and have now sold out.
New to the market in 2018 will be “The Rose” and “The Griffin” Methodes. The Rose made in the traditional method from 100% Pinot Noir is full of style and elegance, and The Griffin – made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir is a vintage treasure both bold and gracious. These will be released in Autumn.
Our new vintage 2018 Rosé will be released on the 1st September to celebrate the beginning of spring.
If you’d like to be ahead of the pack with our new releases email us and we can add you to our pre-release list.
