Upcoming Events at Palliser Estate

Palliser is thrilled to collaborate with the talented team at Food By Fire, Element Tipis, and Stonehenge Aotearoa for one of the Wairarapa's most unique events, as part of the iconic Wellington On A Plate festival.

Fire and Stone will be a once-in-a-lifetime elemental dining experience of whole cuts cooked over fire, snuggled up in a cosy Nordic tipi village, alongside the monumental Stonehenge Aotearoa open air observatory and stone circle. Canterbury hospitality legends Mat Johns (Food by Fire, Momofuku Daishō), Josh Hunter (Whakapapa of your Kai) and Finbar MacCarthy (Gatherings) will fire up an epic five-course feast by candlelight, matched with our stunning Palliser wines, with a musical lineup to dance the night away. And if the skies are clear, experience a guided stargaze from astronomer and Stonehenge Aotearoa creator Richard Hall, for a fully immersive experience.

Tickets are $165, and include a welcome drink with your five-course feast. You can purchase all your favourite Palliser wines by the bottle or glass to match each course, as well as Brew Moon craft beers, and a range on non-alcoholics at the Fire & Stone Wine Bar. It will be a truly spectacular event!

The Visa Pre Sale for ticketed events will run from 12pm, 17 - 19 June 2024. During Pre Sale you must purchase your tickets using a Visa credit, debit or Prezzy card.

The general release for remaining tickets will go on sale from 12pm, 21 June 2024.

Palliser are delighted to once again support this magical local festival. We’ve teamed up with our friends at Aperitif in Greytown for their iconic Oyster Saloon with chef Martin Bosley on Saturday 6 and Saturday 27 July. Our gorgeous Palliser Griffin bubbles are the perfect partner for freshly shucked oysters, plus you'll be able to enjoy Palliser wine tastings alongside the Oyster Saloon festivities.

The month is full of fantastic events for all the family, with Palliser featuring on a lot of the wine lists. We're proud to sponsor such a unique local event, that all the community can enjoy, as well as encourage visitors to our beautiful region.

The legendary Noble Rot long lunch is the perfect way to while away a Sunday afternoon. Palliser Winemaker and Viticulturist Guy McMaster will be joined by other legendary Wairarapa winemakers at Noble Rot Wine Bar on Swan Lane, each bringing special treats from their own cellars to share with you.

Toast Martinborough is an iconic event that for the past 30 years has celebrated Martinborough’s world-class wines. Mark your calendars for Sunday 19 January 2025 for a sumptuous summer day filled with exceptional wines, delicious food, and unforgettable memories.

Palliser will be joining our friends Te Kairanga and Martinborough Vineyard at The Runholder, which will be the perfect spot to start and finish your day the classy way along ‘festival road’. We'll be pouring Palliser favourites, like our Griffin and Rose Methode Traditionnelle bubbles, as well as our gorgeous Rose. For a more elevated day out, you'll be able to join us for some Winemaker Masterclasses, further details to come.

Moving away from the traditional ‘third weekend in November’, the new-format Toast Martinborough is on Sun 19 Jan, so you can maximise your Wellington Anniversary Weekend. There will be plenty of festival-adjacent events on the whole long weekend, plus our Palliser Cellar Door and Kitchen will remain open all weekend, for those wanting a more relaxed weekend away from festival-goers.

Limited Pre-Sale tickets are available now to Toast Martinborough subscribers, with all the General Release tickets available from 10am Wed 19 Jun.

Official Toast Martinborough may be moving to 19 January 2025, but keep the weekend of ‘Original Toast’ free – the third weekend in November – for an alternative event at Palliser.

The Wellington Winetopia event in early June was a great success, with thousands enjoying the Palliser wines on offer, as well as all the other wine, food, live music and masterclasses.

We’ll be doing it all again at the Auckland Winetopia event on 26 and 27 July at the Viaduct Events Centre. We can’t wait to pour all your Palliser favourites, and meet some of our Auckland-based Palliser fans.
