Colour
Deep, medium ruby, lighter around the edges.
Aroma
Open and expressive on the nose, with a summery array of cherry, mirabelle plum and sage, with complex notes of new car leather, butcher’s block and rose petal.
Ageing Potential
The complexity and concentration will complement slow-cooked beef dishes like ragus, casseroles and braised beef; otherwise perfect with normal Pinot Noir staples like Peking duck and roast pork. Drinking beautifully now, this excellent 2019 will drink at its best until 2025.
Palate
Medium bodied, silky and supple in the mouth, fine grained tannins frame the plump cherry fruit, woody and floral herbal notes mingle with the smoky French oak flavours to produce memorable complexity. A complete and harmonious vintage on release at 2 years old, the balance of this 2019 is already immaculate and the finish long and detailed.
