Amare'tjie Jerepigo Dessert Wine 2026
Introducing Amare'tjie, a sweet, fortified, dessert wine. Crafted from Martinborough Chardonnay, this Jerepigo wine style has it's roots in Portugal and South Africa. Amare'tjie (pronouncedama-ray-key) loosely translates to "little loved one"; a fitting name for a wine that has been a true passion project for Assistant Winemaker Pierre Louw. As a South African-born winemaker, Pierre drew on the rich heritage of Jerepigo, bringing together old-world inspiration and Palliser craftsmanship in a distinctly Martinborough expression.
Rich and decadent, Amare'tjie layers notes of lychee, mango and honey with a warming finish. It's a little wine (375ml dessert wine format) with big character, made for life's sweeter moments; whether paired with a cheeseboard, a favourite dessert, or enjoyed slowly after dinner with friends around the table.
Full tasting notes to come.
