Arohanui Pinot Noir 2024
This wine bears the artwork Arohanui by Ralph Hotere (1931-2013), one of Aotearoa New Zealand's most celebrated and respected artists. Inspired by his Les Saintes-Maries-de-lar-Mer works, the heart-and-cross motif reflects themes of love, care and connection - a fitting expression of this hand-crafted wine made with aroha for those closest to us. Hotere first designed this label as a commission for the wedding of his great friend Roger Wall, also a great friend of Palliser founder Richard Riddiford - a marriage being the ultimate illustration of arohanui. Today we are honoured to share it once again.
A very limited release, the Arohanui Pinot Noir 2024 is the inaugural wine created exclusively for our Estate Club members.

Deep and brooding aromas of dusky florals, black cherries, Kirsch, backstrap liquorice and a kiss of nutty French oak. The palate is opulent and powerful with layers of sweet cherries and liquorice spice, incredibly fine tannins and a charming combination of sweet fruit and savoury complexity. A serious and sultry Pinot Noir that is as rarefied as it is rare.
A perfect match for duck, Chinese roast pork or prime beef and will improve with age through to 2036+.
